On Monday, October 24th, 2016, a Retirement Open House for Fayette City Administrator/Clerk, Christie Dennis, was held in the ICN Room at the Fayette Community Library. Refreshments were furnished by the Friends of the Library.

On Tuesday, November 10th, 2015, Mayor Andrew Wenthe swore in Richard Pisanti as the new Fayette Police Chief.
Watermelon Days 2015 was a great success! There were many people who showed up to enjoy all the activities and entertainment. Thanks to all the volunteers and those who helped support Watermelon Days 2015! Below are just some pictures to highlight the weekend. On Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Open Air Market park, 305 W. Water Street, Fayette, there was a memorial dedication ceremony to honor Pfc. James Lee, USMC, the only Fayette person to lose his life in the Vietnam war. It was a beautiful day and a great crowd. You may visit the bench at the Open Air Market park in Fayette.
